Just had to post the finished Foxy Dreamer. The color was so much richer once it was fired. I used Amaco velvet underglazes. I love using them – It has such a lovely surface.
Continuing my exploration of ceramics I finally got to glaze the bunny girl series. In finishing them I find there are so many other factors I need to think about in doing ceramics. Besides the color- – there is the final finish. I do want some of them to be satin or maybe gloss – which entails more firings. With these first pieces, I did add encaustic (wax) to the faces and to the hands. The slight sheen is what I wanted to get.
